Hello all,

Well all this week we have had drumline camp.  It is five long days of drumming from 6:45AM to 9:00PM (and a few daysthis week have been later).  I could go into great detail.... but I won't.

God has smacked me upside the head with a few much needed realizations this week

Here is some good stuff from Philippians that I read a couple of nights ago and that I've been trying to take to heart.

If you've gotten anything at all out of following Christ,

if his love has made any difference in your life,

if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you,

if you have a heart,

if you care— then do me a favor:

Agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.

Don't be obsessed with getting your own advantage.

Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand.

Philippians 2:1-4

That is a mixture of different bible versions, but dang...that hit me hard.

Man, I love being humbled haha

Humility is not always an easy thing, but I guess that's what makes it so honorable

On another note, school is coming up.....

bring on the senior year!

God Bless

I love thunder and lightning.......

it's so calming to to me

it reminds me how powerful God is

On the other hand, I hate being away from God.

Lately I've been kind of dead in the water.

I'm not growing and closer to Him

and man is life worthless with out Him...

I need to start spending a lot more alone time with Him

Hello all,

Well it's been a while since I've updated.  I've been pretty busy.

First I went to the Naval Academy for a week, then the Air Force Academy for a week, and finally Boys State for an excruciatingly long week.

I hope you like pictures because there's going to be lots of them...

Here are some pictures from USNA

That is the main entrance to Bancroft Hall, the midshipmen dorm. The thing is massive! It's the biggest dorm in the world and ya... it's pretty big.

the chapel

A bunch of Yard Patrol Craft docked on one of the sides of the campus (techincally it's called the yard)

One of the academic buildings that are all connected by a series of underground labs.  Underground labs... that just sounds sweet haha. It's pretty awesome though, scattered thoughout the labs are disabled nuclear torpedos, tomahawk missles, and other cool stuff.

A view of the yard from the mouth of the severn river. Most of the buildings you see in this pic is all Bancroft Hall.

Here are some from USAFA

View over one side of the base

the front of the chapel

the back of the chapel and the Rockies in the background

the chapel at night

An F-16 Falcon that is on base. They have a jet at each corner of the quad which they call the Terrazzo.

The scenery around the campus is absolutley gorgeous. You look one way and you are looking over Colorado Springs; You look the other way and all you can see are mountains.  The clouds there were always incredible too.

and the part that I care about most...

I could go on forever about my adventures at both places, but I will control myself.

If you want to talk about them just let me know. I'd love to

All in all, both experiences were incredible.

There is not a doubt in my mind that a service academy is where I want to be

and that serving my country is what I want to do.

Now I just have to wait and see where God leads me.

God Bless
